The West Gate Park City Resort

We were transported by the Resorts shuttle from Club Lespri. When we arrived, we were given a tour and shown to our villas!

Wow, so outstanding! Each of our Villas offered a fully equipped kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, marble whirlpool tub, steam shower, fireplace, and a washer/dryer. The villas are tastefully decorated featuring a special touch created by local artisans.

After we settled into our villas, we explored the premises, and got outfitted for our next day of skiing by “Skis on the run”.

Skis On The Run

After interviewing over the telephone about our skiing ability and equipment preference “Skis on the run” had just what they need to bring us our equipment.
Skis on the run offers advance equipment reservations over the internet.

This company offered so much more, if by chance you forgot something, they will bring it to you! They did a boot fit at the Resort, and they brought back-up equipment as well. If you need any adjustments to the equipment at all, they come to where you are, even if you are on the slopes!

When we were finished skiing they came to pick up the equipment.
This was an amazing service offered by Skis on the run and we highly recommend them to our readers!

After our fitting we decided to relax until dinner by way of a steam shower and whirlpool in the privacy of our villas!

Next, it was time to go to dinner at “The Cabin Restaurant” at the Grand Summit Hotel about one block from our resort.

Upon arrival we were shown to a cozy table near a fireplace. The very friendly staff offered us a choice of beverages, and we were given a sample of four of their most popular appetizers.

The culinary art and presentation was outstanding! We were offered the Winter Greens salad. Our main courses consisted of “The Pan Seared Venison Tenderloin” and the “Mixed Grill of Petite Filet, Grilled Salmon and Two Jumbo Shrimp”

The quality was exceptional, and the flavor wonderful.

For dessert, we enjoyed the “Chocolate fondue with a variety of fresh fruit to dip!

We highly recommend that our readers put this restaurant on their list of "must do's" while in Park City.

The next morning we enjoyed a hearty skier’s breakfast at the West Gate Grill, located in the Resort. Here they offered a buffet with fresh cooked omelets, fresh fruit, baked muffins, French toast, bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc. The food quality was excellent.

After our hearty breakfast, we set out to experience the slopes, and they did everything for us, but ski! We are talking valet, valet!!!

Finest Health Spas writer staff would like to thank The West Gate Resort and The Canyons Ski Resort for the very memorable ski experience during our stay. We highly recommend the Resorts great service we experienced. We would like our reader audience to experience the exceptional service at The West Gate Resort.

Let’s not forget the Spa, why we came here in the first place. The Papillon Spa is outstanding!

After a day of skiing, this was such a welcome retreat. When we checked into the spa the first thing that we noticed is the amazing waterfall. It is the sound of “many waters” preparing you for your departure from the real world. We were greeted with a spa robe and slippers, and were able to enjoy the whirlpool before the treatments. After the peaceful experience in the water we were directed to the waiting sanctuary. The chairs were so comfortable you do not want to leave them. Some one had done their homework at this Spa.

Our female reviewer received the “Moisture Plus Facial”. This was not just a facial! This is the ultimate hydration treatment that delivers long lasting moisture to the deepest layers of your skin. The products used were the top of the line. Her face was radiant, toned and protected against the effects of the sun, wind and cold! The therapist was exceptional.

Next she enjoyed the “Sugar& Spice Mango Wrap”. This was a relaxing, warm wrap to moisturize and firm the skin. You begin with an application of raw sugar, orange blossom, elder berry, dried mango, papaya, wild yam and allspice. This mixture smelled good enough to eat! You are then wrapped in warm sheets to melt the sugar and infuse the nutrients into the skin. Next, you rinse off in the shower, located in the same room. Finally you are massaged with mango body lotion. Wow, what a beautiful affect this has on the skin!

Our male reviewer was treated to the “Mountain Stone Massage”. After skiing most of the day, this was such a great way to restore the muscles. The warm basalt river stones really enhance the massage, as well as bring such a great sense of calm along with deep relaxation.

Next, he received the “Gentlemen’s Facial”. This is especially designed for men’s skin care needs. This facial cleansed, soothed, hydrated and relieved any razor burn or skin irritations.
Our team felt so pampered and relaxed.

It was time to eat again, we went to the West Gates own Restaurant. The “Westgate Grill”, they offer sumptuous cuisine at such uniquely affordable prices. The menu variety was amazing, and quality of food, outstanding.

We brought a child along to test the “kids club”. The Westgate Park City Kid’s Club is designed exclusively for the owners and the resort guests of this location.
They offer a fun-filled activity center for children 3-12 years of age. Some of the activities offered are: arts and crafts, children’s movie theatre, interactive computer games, two-story loft for dramatic play, karaoke, bingo as well as special and seasonal events.
So whether you are skiing for the day, enjoying a treatment at the Papillon Spa, or dining at
The Westgate Grill, your child will be safe and have fun.
