Spa Tips

How to Make the Most of Your Spa Trip

Answers to commonly asked questions on spa etiquette and what to expect.

1. DO I NEED TO MAKE SPA APPOINTMENTS IN ADVANCE?
To ensure availability of treatments, it's recommended that you schedule your appointments well in advance.

2. IS THERE SOMEONE TO RECOMMEND WHAT TREATMENTS ARE BEST FOR ME?
Usually, Service Coordinators are there to assist you in planning the spa experience that best suits your individual needs.

3. HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY TREATMENT?

Please arrive a minimum of 10 minutes prior to your first appointment, allowing yourself ample time to check in and change. Be reminded that your late arrival will determine the length of your treatment time. Your service will end as scheduled, so that the next guest may begin on time.

4. CAN I REQUEST A MALE OR FEMALE THERAPIST?

Certainly. Keep in mind that all therapists are trained professionals and that you will be properly draped throughout your treatment. Additionally, the flexibility to receive a treatment from either gender will open up more treatment options for you.

5. WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE? CAN I CANCEL AT ANY TIME?
If they can reschedule your appointment on the same day to accommodate you they are usally happy to assist. If their full schedule at the spa prevents them from rescheduling, then your treatment will "start" as previously scheduled. Remember that your treatment must end on time to prevent further delays, regardless of how late you start.

6. DO I HAVE TO DISROBE ENTIRELY FOR MY SPA TREATMENT?
Most do, however that is your choice. Please keep in mind that therapists are trained to protect your privacy at all times.

7. SHOULD I AVOID THE SPA IF I AM PREGNANT?

Not at all, though you may want to avoid treatments using deep pressure as well as hydrotherapy treatments involving heat. Also, please notify your Service Coordinators of your pregnancy when booking your appointments.

8. SHOULD I ALERT SOMEONE IF I HAVE ANY PHYSICAL AILMENTS, DISABILITIES OR ALLERGIES?
Yes. The staff needs to know this information to customize your treatment. Also, when scheduling your appointment, please inform the Service Coordinators if you have any special needs.
