Drug Administration approved a clinical trial of
laboratory-made, purified “ecstasy” for Post-Traumatic
Stress Disorder- the first such trial in almost
two decades.

group of psychiatrist sued to keep the drug legal for
research and medical use, but their suit failed. Later
this year in South Carolina psychiatrists will be giving
a single dose to some patients during the course of therapy
to study if it allows their patients to face their traumatic
experiences with less fear and shame. The study will
prove that the guilt barrier will not inhibit their patients
from the healing process.
